It’s the turkey hangover edition!  Somehow, the first Monday back at work after a long Thanksgiving weekend is harder than most.  The December stretch of holiday parties and light work load is here, and all you can think about is that next long break for Christmas, then New Year’s…and then those pesky New Year’s resolutions and detoxing after too many libations during a month of party-hopping.  So forget about that work for a few more minutes and get caught up on the Hill Buzz from the last week.

  • One of the local news outlets finally picked up on our local bank robbery that occurred last Monday.
  • In a YouTube video from Huffington Post, D.C.-area developer Jeff Neal gave the Huffington Post Investigative Fund a tour of empty commercial properties around the ballpark.
  • JDLand had details on the new bike lanes planed for M Street, SE.
  • Capital Spice reviewed Souk, which has reportedly had a great first month.
  • DCist reported that a car was pushed into the Anacostia River by a train.  No one was in the car at the time and officials are not sure why it was parked on the tracks.
  • Frozen Tropics announced that there is a vacant seat for ANC 5B-06.
  • DC Metrocentric posted a few renderings of the city’s plans for the old Washington Star Printing Warehouse.
  • Greater Great Washington determined that the prices of the meters at Barracks Row should be re-evaluated after he was unable to find a parking place for dinner.
  • On his blog, Tommy Wells announced another H1N1 vaccine clinic to be held this Thursday
