Police Arrest Man in Connection with Safeway Incidents

Yes, citizens, arrests are made on some of those crime incident reports our texting systems and email listservs pepper us with. The Metropolitan Police Department has announced an arrest has been made in connection with the recent robberies at the Safeway on 14th Street, SE.

Quinton Raymond Jones, 48, of the 1800 block of D Street, SE was charged with “robbery force of violence, assault with intent to rob while armed, and assault with a dangerous weapon (knife) in connection with these cases.”
These cases remain under investigation by detectives and the crime is alleged, folks. Jones was arrested Sept. 23. The incidents occurred on Aug.  29  and Aug. 31.
