Nando’s PERi-PERi will be opening it’s new location on H Street NE tomorrow, February 27, 2016, with D.C. United soccer stars “taking over” the Nando’s grills on between 1-5pm. Soccer fans can expect to see goalkeeper Bill Hamid, defenders Sean Franklin and Steven Birnbaum, and midfielders Nick DeLeon, Lamar Neagle and Patrick Nyarko.
And that’s not the only reason to stop by their opening day. 100% of tomorrow’s proceeds will be donated to H Street’s Atlas Performing Arts Center, to support community theater and dance, and to D.C. United’s charity partner DC SCORES, the award winning youth development non-profit that offers free after-school soccer and literacy programming to at-risk DC area youth.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Nando’s will also have its very own streetcar (well, an Old Town Trolley), running between the Atlas Theatre and Nando’s location on the 400 block of H Street NE. So if you don’t get a chance to ride the DC Streetcar, you can still get a fun ride on theirs!
