Guest Post By Jenny Bolen

Are you looking for a mom-focused fitness group on Capitol Hill? The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is starting up a runners club program that also raises money to help fight cancer.

The training season starts on Saturday, and we’re aiming to recruit close to 80 moms. The Capitol Hill group meets on Saturday mornings at Yards Park, and we will train for the Pacers Veteran’s Day 10k at the Tidal Basin in November.

If you’re thinking about signing up for a race or just want to get back into a running routine, this is an excellent way to get started. And, if you’re still not sure about joining, read this story from one of our alumni moms, who trained for and ran in the Capitol Hill 10k last year.

Learn more about the program here and email me if you’re interested in joining!
