There are many perfect ways to spend a Saturday morning and afternoon. J. O. Wilson Elementary has a great permutation for your consideration: on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 am to 4 pm, come to J. O. Wilson Elementary school, 660 K Street NE for a day of fun. (Should it rain, the fair will be moved to Saturday, May 10th).
And what does this fun include, you ask? Get this: for absolutely NO entry fee, you get:
– Two live bands
-Excellent food, which includes Indigo and Horace and Dickie’s
– A fire truck for the wee ones (and the not-so-wee ones) to explore
– A moon bounce!
There will also be a chili cook-off, a pie-eating contest, and more than 60 tables’ worth of great, funky finds at the flea market. Charles Allen will speak at the event. Looks like between Taste of 8th, the SWS Auction, the Flea Market, and all the good things Jen listed for you To Do, you are going to have one busy weekend!
