Oh spring, you are finally here. This weekend we shall celebrate your glory while dodging pollen and blossom-gawking tourists. How do we do it?

Tonight the Argonaut features bluegrass band Only Lonesone.

The Hill Center features  guitarist Richard Miller and his ensemble Choro de Manhã for an evening of Brazilian Choro music. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and are available here

Friday night at 8pm, the Best Performing Arts venue in the city, the Atlas, closes out a week-long area -wide tribute to Dutch composer Louis Andriessen with a concert by the music giants Bang on a Can All-Stars. Tickets are $20-$35 and are available here.

Saturday bring the littles to the final weekend of the season’s Theatre for the Very Young performances at the Atlas. Imagination Stage teamed up once again with Britain’s Tell Tale Hearts Theatre company for a sweet show called Inside Out which is about the delightful antics of youngsters as they stall their bedtime by trashing their room. No comment from the kiddos parents. Showtimes and tickets are available here.

Sunday night at the Rock and Roll Hotel White Hinterland, aka Casey Dienel, takes the stage. She’s got an R & B ish sound the WNYC that said “doubles down on the experimental electronic flourishes, and fizzy, dance-ready hooks. Yet at the heart, as always, is Dienel’s passionate, haunting voice, be it as a capella art pop … or immersed in a sea of gorgeous neo-soul harmonies.” She’s opening for S. Carey aka Bon Iver’s drummer. Doors open at 7 and she goes on at 8pm. Ticket are available here.

Jen DeMayo is the Director of Community for the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
