Has the winter weather got you feeling cold and drafty? Well, just think about the hundreds of nearly naked joggers participating in Cupid’s Undie Run. On Saturday, runners of all body types will strip down to their skivvies and run across Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol and back.
The 1.5 mile fun run begins at the Pour House at 2 p.m. Runners will pause ever so… briefly… for some pushups and light stretching at the Capitol before heading back to the Pour House. It’s a shameless run for a worthy cause. So far race participants have raised close to $200,000 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. And, online donations are still being accepted.
This is the third year that the run is being held in D.C., and it has become somewhat of an annual tradition on Capitol Hill. It draws many a curious onlooker and confused tourist.
