It’s that time of year, parents of pre-schoolers: open house time. This is your chance to tour your neighborhood school and apply to DCPS’s Out-of-Boundary/Pre-S & Pre-K Lottery (which runs from January 28-February 25).
One of the best ways to get to know a school is by visiting an Open House: that way, you get to talk to parents who are currently sending their kids there, and you get a good feel for the atmosphere and philosophy of the school. Here are a few open houses coming up:
Capitol Hill Montessori at Logan:
Wednesday, January 16, 6:30-7:30pm
Tuesday, January 15 at Stuart-Hobson 9:30 am & 6:00 pm
Wednesday, January 16 at Peabody 9:30 am & 6:00 pm
Thursday, January 17 at Watkins Elementary 9:30 am & 6:00 pm
The Cluster also offers tours on Tuesday January 22, 9am to 11am
Maury Elementary:
Wednesday, January 16, 9am-10:30am and 6:15pm-7:30pm
Upcoming– SWS at Logan Annex: Thursday, January 31, 9:30-11:00am
