A meeting to address the application by the Architect of the Capitol for changes to the Capitol Power Plant’s permits is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 pm at the Capitol Hill United Methodist Church located at 421 Seward Square SE.

The meeting, hosted by Council Member Tommy Wells, will discuss the “strategies for addressing broader concerns about the power plant, particularly the ongoing use of coal as a fuel source.”  The District Department of the Environment will present background information about the plant as well.
