There was a spurt of development on Capitol Hill in the 1970s . One interesting by-product of this era was a crop of townhouses distinguished by their wide open living spaces, ground floor (as opposed to English basement) apartments, clean lines and distinctively 1970′s vibe. 1119 G St SE (listed at $949k and open this Sunday from 1-3) is a great example of this style. The main unit has 2 bedrooms (with a 3rd room that could be classified bedroom or den), 2.5 baths. The smaller unit has 1 bedroom, 1 bath. Both units have fireplaces, wooden floors, outdoor spaces and the house has off street parking for 2 cars. It’s in a great location and, if you lived in one unit and rented out the other, would be a terrific income-producer.
