“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
― Marc Riboud
We know there are many of you Hill denizens who have quite an eye. We have seen the unique ways you capture daily life, not to mention how you frame special holidays and unique happenings around town.
And yes, it’s true: you love taking pictures of seductive sandwiches and of latte flowers blossoming atop your coffee cup. (Why must you make them ALL so pretty, Peregrine Espresso?!)
But we know you have greatness in you: a shot that speaks eloquently about what this wonderful, crazy city means to you. A shot that makes everyone feel feelings.
It’s time to give your photos the gallery wall space that they deserve. Enter the DCist Exposed 2013 Photography contest and show. You have until January 9, 2013 to pay the $10 entry fee and submit up to three photos via Flickr.
Although we all know we’re winners just for entering, only the 40 most compelling images that exhibit everyday life in D.C. will be picked for the show, which takes place at Long View Gallery on March 27th and 28th.
In sum, here is what you need to know:
WHEN: Submit up to 3 photos via Flickr by January 9, 2013 for a show in March
WHY: Because you love DC and photography and because you want the adoration of hundreds or possibly thousands.
Get to it!
