The Hill is home to many dog owners so I don’t have to explain to our readers how much these pups mean to the families they belong to. One of our fellow residents has a dog, Maggie, who went missing a week ago Friday. Maggie is a tan beagle/retriever mix with white feet and chest who was adopted three years ago by her owners.
On Tuesday, Maggie’s owners arranged for a professional tracking dog to search for Maggie. They say the trail stayed entirely in Hill East and ended in the parking lot at the McDonald’s on the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. SE. Maggie’s family has contacted the owner of the McDonald’s in the hopes that security footage might yield some clues.
Posters like the one you see here are around the Hill and across the river in Anacostia. A facebook page has also been set up for Maggie. If you have any information please call the number on the poster or send an email.
