The Clothes Off Their Backs: Congress Helps Dress for Success

This Wednesday FedEx and Dress for Success is challenging the Congress to do what voters have been wanting for ages: opening up their deep dark (walk-in?) closets for all the world to see.

Dress for Success is non-profit that provides interview and job-appropriate clothing to women with limited resources. The House and Senate will face off to see who can provide the most frocks. On Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. Honorary Co-Chairwomen Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) and Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas) will cross party lines at the Reserve Officers Association headquarters with donations of their own. More than 3,500 outfits have been gathered through these annual challenges.

You can drop off your own duds at the following locations: House donations go to the Reserve Officers Association from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at One Constitution Avenue; NE. Senate donations should be dropped off from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of 1st and D Street, SE across from Bullfeathers near the Capitol South Metro station.
