3 of the coolest dogs ever (not that I’m biased)
This post has little to do with the weather, but it just doesn’t feel right to be the one person not commenting on the heat. So, wow its hot out there! Let this serve as a reminder that our four legged friends need plenty of extra water on days like this!
Speaking of dogs, how’s your pup’s summer social calendar shaping up? Kingsman Dog Park is having a clean-up day next Saturday, June 30th from 8am to noon. And if you help out, you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift certificate to Metro Mutts, something your dog would surely appreciate. Volunteers are asked to bring rakes or brooms. Send an email if you can attend. If its raining, this will take place the following day (July 1st).
Hard to believe, but Independence Day is around the corner and Congressional Cemetery’s Canine Corp. will be marching in the Hill’s July 4th parade. If you and your pup would like to participate, be at the south end of Barracks row at 9:30am (8th and I Streets, SE) on July 4th. Dog-less volunteers are also needed to help carry the banner.
