The Hill Is Rocking!

Ready to rock, Capital Hill? There are some stellar new releases coming up that are worth talking about but first we’re gonna get to a few upcoming shows you’ll be wanting to occupy your evenings with.

THE RED PALACE
On Wednesday May 16th White Dress, from Austin, TX will take the little stage that could and give you an evening full of twang and what lead singer Arum Rae likes to call “lounge country.” Then on Friday, May 18th, La Sera, the latest band from Vivian Girl Katy Goodman, will stop through and bring a truckload of sunny, poppy power punk with her.

Like Muse? OF COURSE YOU DO! Well you’re in luck because on Saturday the 19th Chicago’s Molehill will be bringing proggy, poptastic space rock and bringing it hard. Then on the 20th the band Spirit Animal who are self described as being “poised to deliver the back-breaking rock and sh@#-kicking funk missing from the modern musical landscape”, will apparently do just that, rounding out a good week or so of shows at the little room that could.

And that’s it as far as your live music forecast goes. Slim pickings? Sure! But never fear because there’s been a ton of great releases over the past few weeks so at least you’ll have something to keep your earholes busy until things pick up again.

Until next time.
