Sorry to call you out on this yet again, but the above link to Urban Daddy is NOT an objective review of Pound! No one “checked out” their new bistro. That piece, just like the puff piece featured on this blog a few days ago, is not a review but is an advertisement. That’s fine I guess, but I really hope you will follow up in the near future with a proper review. I’d also be interested in why the business decision was made to try to take on this new model. Specifically, do they remove their snarky signs before dinner service?! (i.e. “no laptops at this table” and “don’t stay more than 90 minutes”)

In my own defense, I didn’t say UD reviewed it. And in Maria’s defense, her post last week that you are referring to was not labeled as a review — she was simply sharing the news that they have officially opened their bistro concept in the evenings.

We are all writing this blog between responsibilities at our jobs or with our families, and have simply not had time to review Pound yet…nor many of the other new restaurants in the neighborhood. I have eaten there once for dinner and very much enjoyed it, but I did not try enough items on the menu to be able to give it a proper review. I do hope you’ll give it a chance in the meantime. They are welcome constructive feedback from their customers.

How is “no laptops at this table” is snarky? I pride myself at being fairly adept at snark and I’m not seeing it.
