Tuesday Morning Circle Time

Happy rainy Tuesday all!It’ sure is gloomy out there. Well at least it’s only a four-day week for many of us. We had some frigid temperatures over the weekend– felt like winter for a moment. I’m still holding out some hope that we may get a good snow at some point. If you know Old Man Winter why don’t you tell him to get his act together.

Yesterday, of course, was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day and many of our neighbors participated in a day of service in his honor. No Obama doing his service on the Hill this year.

What did everyone do this weekend?

Maria had a low-key weekend, spent mostly snuggling up with children and trying to stay warm. The Hill-est thing she did was take in a wiffleball game at Stanton Park and walk/scooter around the neighborhood.

Sharee enjoyed a weekend of football (Boundary Stone Public House is climbing the list of favorite places to watch the game). It was capped by Monday brunch at Matchbox, a little work and yoga with a friend at the newish Yoga District on H St.

Jen continued her January hibernation efforts by sticking close to home for much of the time. Spent some time with the boys sharing the joys of the Golden Globe awards as a reward for all the damn football. She did manage to catch the Sunday matinee of Dirty Barbie at the Corner Store and a few yoga classes at District Yoga. Hi Sharee!
