Well this has to be the easiest To Do List ever.  Your choices this weekend range from Halloween events to Halloween events…to more Halloween events.  Do you love dressing up?  There’s an event for that.  Do you hate dressing up? There’s an event for that.  Don’t have kids and want to dress up your dog?  We definitely have some events for that (and a photo contest, hint, hint).

For our full Halloween guide, check out this post.  For a quick rundown of weekend events, read on.

Friday

Go to Truckerboo, where the monthly food truck gathering will feature twenty-five food trucks gathered in the Das Bullpen parking lot for a Halloween-themed gathering with food, bars, live music and costume contests. NOM NOM NOM! Hungry for art? At the Corner Store (900 S. Carolina), today and Saturday, you can catch a performance art written and starring Nia Orms called “Please Take a Number.” She will be performing it at the Kennedy Center as well, but you can catch it in our neck of the woods first for only a $20 donation ($25 at the door)!

Saturday

Chateau Animaux’sHowl-o-Ween” will be held on October 29th at 2pm at Lincoln Park.

Stop by Capitol Hill Montessori at Logan between 9pm and 9pm for their first ever Haunted House and Family Fun Fest, at 3rd and G Streets, NE.

Congressional Cemetery’s Ghosts and Goblets Soiree is also being held on the 29th. The second annual Halloween fundraiser will take place from 6-8pm.

*APPY *ALLOWEEN on H Street.  (get it, they “put the H in Halloween”!)  A series of events along the corridor include the FRILLS & CHILLS Halloween decorating contest and PUMPKIN PROMENADE carving contest, a HAUNT HUNT, the annual THRILLER flash mob, along with several other dance performances and the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.  Full details can be found at whatthehill.org.

Sunday

Metro Mutts is hosting a haunted house from 3-5 PM in the lower level of Spot on Training, located at 508 H Street, NE. Pets can play in a haunted graveyard and pumpkin patch. Best pet costume wins a doggie or kitty gift bag. And why not partake in their free photo op and submit your costumed pet photos to THIH Halloween photo contest? The event includes free giveaways for pets and owners.

If you’re looking for a party on your Sunday night, go to the Red Palace for the Tilted Torch’s Spook-o-Rama, “a ghoulish night of burlesque, sideshow acts, hula hoops, belly dancing and sleight of hand.”

Or, go to the Atlas Performing Arts Center for Can’t Scare Me, the Story of Mother Jones , a tribute to the woman who fought child labor and helped unionize steel workers and coal miners.

Monday

Hilloween is Monday, October 31st from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Eastern Market, followed by neighborhood trick-or-treating, of course.
