No doubt the culinary confections you churn out at home are delicious (well I know mine are and even if they’re not I generally eat them anyway) but how about taking your baking skills to the next level? The Hello Cupcake level. Now you can as the 8th Street location is offering cupcake classes. If you consider sugar to be a food group (as you well should) you might as well know how to fashion fondant flowers and swirly towers of frosting.
Classes are offered for a range of ages, including children as young as six. Parental supervision is required for the youngsters, but adults are treated to a complimentary cupcake and coffee for their trouble, and each little tot will end class with a half dozen decorated confections to take home.
I would sooner go without than put myself through the stress of attempting to make my own wedding (cup)cake, but for those of you brave enough, the store is offering a class all about “Babies, Birthdays and Weddings” where you’ll learn how to pipe frosting, make fondant decorations and go home with a dozen decorated cupcakes.
