While I was initially disappointed about Hurricane Irene spoiling my weekend plans, which included a trip to go tubing in Harpers Ferry, it ended up being a great weekend in the neighborhood. I recently adopted the dog of a family member who had to move overseas, so I’m rediscovering my love for taking long walks around the neighborhood; this gave me a chance to see the calm before the storm on Saturday, and the damage after it on Sunday. It appears as though all of us at THIH made it through without incident, and we hope you and your property made it through as safely too. So now that we’ve gotten through an earthquake and a hurricane (are locusts next??), I bring you your weekly Tuesday morning reading. Enjoy!
