Monday Morning Circle Time

It was a best of both worlds kind of weekend. A bright and sunny Saturday meant for strolling our neighborhood, running errands and cleaning up the yard. Sunday was  the day for snuggling at home spending the day in your jammies while reading a good book or the entire New York Times in one sitting.  It could also have been an excellent day for perhaps indulging in some 80s John Hughes favorites or a Gilmore Girls marathon. Or take the gloomy day and turn it upside down by exploring some of Frisky Franny’s ideas. I’m not here to judge.

What did you do with your weekend?

Lauren: Saturday brought mildly warmer temperatures so we took the dog out for a long walk, sat outside at Union Pub with friends and later made our way to Matchbox, where we had the shortest wait time ever on a Saturday night – 30 minutes that was really only 20, proof that miracles can happen. Sunday, as you are surely well aware, it rained all day so I read my Kindle and drank hot chocolate by the fireplace!

Nichole: Friday I headed over to Herstory 6 at the Center for Green Urbanism and followed it with a fun dinner at Ray’s the Steaks East River. Saturday and Sunday were both spent doing errands and some work-related running around across the Hill.

Jen: Sorry to bore you but my whole weekend was once again spent at the Atlas welcoming crowds for INTERSECTIONS. I got to watch most of the Zip Zap Circus show with my kids Saturday night and once again vowed to take a class at the trapeze school. Sunday night my son invited his best friends and their family over for dinner so we had a lovely meal with them and then I fell asleep fully dressed at 8:30. One more weekend.

Claudia: I spent the weekend doing some hardcore spring cleaning, resulting in a trip to the Fort Totten Transfer Station and a big pile for charity.  I also participated in a panel for the Our Revolution Road Trip and took a long walk around the neighborhood with a friend playing “if money was no object I’d buy that house.”

Maria: Planted peas this weekend (go peas!).  She also baked cookies, made arepas, and made fruitless plans to make empanadas.  She got to wear a t-shirt less than 24 hours before gettiing soaked to the core while popping in and out of open houses on Sunday.  Ah, March, you are a fickle mistress.
