We hear, by way of Barracks Row Main Street, that Groovy dc is opening above Monkeys’ Uncle a week from today while they wait for their permanent space to be ready. Groovy has this announcement on their website:
Groovy dc Cards & Gifts is happy to announce that we have been invited over to play at Monkeys’ Uncle for a short time until our new location is ready.
Starting April 1, we will be located on the second floor at Monkeys’ Uncle with our line of cards, stationery, gift bags & wrapping paper, party supplies, balloons, journals, candles and a few other gift items.

The Monkey gets it Groove on…
Here is a little more detail. Groovy dc will occupy the space upstairs at 321 7th , currently housing our teen & tween section which will move downstairs. Suzanne & Niki of Serendipity Salon will continue to make everyone look fabulous above our 323 7th st. space. Jay & I are thrilled that we can support a fellow local business in this small way. Monkeys’ Uncle is ready for a Groovy Spring & Summer!
