First up for this month’s community meetings, DCPS will hold a public meeting tonight to announce their decision on re-opening Van Ness Elementary School. The meeting will be held at 6pm at the Arthur Capper Seniors building at 900 5th St., SE.
As for your regularly scheduled ANC and PSA meetings, dates and agendas are as follows. Please check our community meeting calendar for additional neighborhood meetings.
- Tuesday, March 8: ANC 6B will meet at Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, located at 522 7th Street, SE. The full agenda can be found on their website. It’s a packed agenda so come prepared to hang out for a while. Pacifico’s voluntary agreement will be on the table again, along with the presentation of the Retail Mix Task Force report, an update on the Performance Parking Pilot Program, and a whole bunch of zoning issues including a request for sidewalk seating outside Senart’s Oyster House. Also on Tuesday is the PSA 102 monthly meeting at 7pm at the Sherwood Recreation Center, corner of 10th and G Streets, NE.
- Wednesday, March 9: ANC 6C will meet at 7pm at the Heritage Foundation, located at 214 Massachusetts Avenue NE. The agenda has not yet been posted to their website but check back in the days before the meeting. Also on Wednesday, the PSA 103 monthly meeting will be held at 7pm at Miner Elementary School, 601 15th Street, NE.
- Thursday, March 10: ANC 6A will meet at 7pm at Miner Elementary, 601 15th Street, NE. The agenda has not yet been posted to their website but check back next week.
- Monday, March 14: ANC 6D will meet at 7 pm at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 140 L Street SE, in the 2nd Floor Admiral Rooms. The agenda has not yet been posted but check their website next week.
- Thursday, March 17: The PSA 107 monthly meeting will be held at Liberty Baptist Church 527 Kentucky Avenue, SE at 7pm.
- Wednesday, February 23: The Eastern Market Community Advisory Committee will hold its monthly meeting in Eastern Market’s North Hall at 6:30pm.
