It’s almost a week after Valentine’s Day and I can’t help but wonder: do people on the Hill make time for sex?
We are a community of professional over-achievers—we are doctors and lawyers, writers and editors, white house staffers and congressional aides–but are we under-achievers in bed? With so many frowns on the faces of people I pass on the street I’d have to guess that these people aren’t getting laid.
I will confess that I didn’t always make sex a priority. I, too, was busy at work or tending to an exceedingly long list of personal obligations, none of which included dating or having sex. However, when I made time in my schedule to have sex—yep, I had to pencil it in—I remembered how much I love sex. And the funny thing about sex that no one tells you, at least not in Catholic school, is that the more you do it the better you get and the better it gets!
Added bonus: When I spent as much time thinking about and having sex as I did working, my relationships and my performance at work all seemed to improve.
So, young professionals, moms, dads, scholars, even hipsters, get out there and have sex. Keep the romance of Valentine’s Day going and prove me wrong. I want to see some smiling, happy people on the Hill this weekend!
When was the last time you had sex? Do you think work and family get in the way of a healthy sex life in your home?
Sex sells, huh? Are you trying to attract new readers to this blog?
Comment bait.
Got it on last night in Hill East! Must be the warm weather…
Not ok.
I can completely vouch for this. Since we left the hill, me and the missus can’t keep our hands off each other. I don’t know whether it’s just because we live out in the woods and there’s no one else to bother us, or if it’s just because the missus has taken to walking around without puttin’ her guns in the holster … (if you know what I mean ….) but it worked for us ….
