To Do List

I assume by now most of you have probably procured your trees and other holiday accoutrement (I have not, and am very stressed out about this fact – especially considering I’m leaving town for the weekend). For many of you, it’s your last weekend in town before the holidays – or the calm before the storm of guests next weekend. I won’t be here, but here are some ideas for the rest of you:

Friday, check out the Theater Alliance’s production of Langston Hughes’s Black Nativity at the H Street Playhouse. Also on H Street, you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Star & Shamrock, where the 17th of every month is as good a time as any to celebrate St. Paddy’s! Elsewhere on the Hill, it’s movie night at the Family Room and they’re showing the Polar Express (which I have also not seen, or even read).

On Saturday and Sunday, head to the Atlas for the Bing Crosby classic White Christmas. (Well, I hear it’s a classic – this is one of a long list of movies I’ve never seen.) While there, you can get your last minute holiday shopping done at the Atlas holiday market! Labyrinth is also hosting four hours of RPG goodness with “A Taste of Gamma World.” You need to RSVP, which you can do via the link above.

On Sunday, head to the Fridge for Sunday Circus, a showcase of all manner of live art. Admission is $5 off if you dress for the circus!
