Hill Center Seeks Input on Programs

I can’t walk by the Old Naval Hospital without getting a little buzz of excitement. You see, I am a nerd that loves to sign up for classes. Stained glass classes, pottery classes, finance classes, Spanish classes, cooking classes, etc. And once all of the geothermal holes are doing their thing, donors (large & small) have ponied up, and some sort of peace has been brokered regarding liquor and parking issues, the Hill Center will open its doors and strive to make good on their mission to provide a vibrant new setting for lifetime learning, cultural enrichment, and community life. And there will be classes, lots of classes.

The Hill Center has recently added a survey (under announcements) to their website to take the pulse of the Hill and collect input about programing for individuals and families. I’ve heard concerns  that the Center’s offerings will duplicate (and thus compete with) those available at CHAW and other neighborhood workshops and studios. There’s also talk about making sure the offerings appeal to a cross section of the community and concern that the offerings are affordable. Check out the survey and have your say!

Tune in later this week for Kyra’s take on a tour of progress on the building renovations.

  1. Todd says:

The link provided to the survey doesn’t work, but if you go directly to the Hill Center’s homepage you can find the survey there: http://www.hillcenteronh.org.

The survey is listed under “announcements.”

  2. Thanks Todd! I fixed the link.
