CHAMPS presents the Hilly Awards 2010
Tonight at 8:00 p.m. the Hill will shine at Eastern Market’s North Hall with the presentation of the Second Annual Hilly Awards. The Hill has spoken and you, Hill residents, had the chance to cast votes for your favorite eats, drinks, service providers and arts groups that call our neighborhood home. Winners will be announced this evening and the suspense is growing. Who will win? What will the owners of Hill businesses be wearing? Who will spill a cocktail on his pants?
If you aren’t able to be there in person, you’ll have The Hill Is Home on your side for the evening providing you up-to-the-minute information on the winners, the winning looks, and yes perhaps even who is embarrassing themselves on the dance floor. Maria and I will be posting updates to THIH, Tweeting, Facebooking, texting, we have trained carrier pigeons, and will be knocking other bloggers out of the way to bring you information as it happens (and as fast as a 3G network allows).

i love Acqua and Ted’s bulletin, and congrats to them and other winners. but next year my leading bet is on the Atlas Room. i went there last night to check it out and fell in love. seafood salad, with mussels and calamari and shrimp on israeli couscous, mmm. and the beef two ways was delightful. it wasn’t perfect, the desserts could use some work. but two weeks in, i know i and others on the Hill will be going there a lot (in between trips to Acqua and Belga, and Ted’s and Granville Moore and…embarrassment of riches in the neighborhood
