Meet the Candidates: Carol Green ANC 6B07

We have offered to post brief statements from all of the ANC candidates running for seats on Capitol Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods that we cover here on The Hill is Home.  These statements are not endorsements and have been posted exactly as submitted by the candidates.

Carol Green ANC 6B07

  • ANC Commissioner for 4 years, vice-chair of the Alcoholic Beverage Committee and treasurer of the ANC.
  • Attend all four monthly ANC meetings, representing community in Planning and Zoning issues and Alcoholic Beverage licenses and renewals, and other issues that arise.
  • Testify before the Alcoholic Beverage Regulatory Authority Board frequently to support the community and applicants in liquor license matters.
  • Worked with DDOT to install traffic calming measures, parking meters and signage, adding sidewalks, and replacing broken ones around the neighborhood school
  • Active participant in Police Service Area planning sessions and meetings.
  • Work with Metropolitan Police Department personnel to improve local quality of life.
  • Sent four children to summer camp with MPD’s assistance.
  • Recommended high school student for the Council Youth Internship Programand assisted with application.
  • With business owner and MPD, organized a Neighborhood Watch to combat rash of burglaries and street crime.
