Blow Off Some Steam With Pepco

July 14th, 2010 by Sharee Lawler · No Comments · Capitol Hill

Following on last week’s miserable combination of high temperatures and power outages, Councilmember Wells is hosting a community meeting with Pepco.  The meeting will take place tonight, July 14th, from 6-7:30PM at the Atlas Performing Arts Center (1333 H St, NE).  Conveniently located for residents in the surrounding blocks who suffered days without power or on reduced or intermittent power.  Pepco trucks can still be seen daily in the vicinity of 13th & H, NE, working on underground lines.

The meeting will offer neighbors a chance to hear first-hand what happened, what’s being done to fix the problems and answer any lingering questions.  Wells also wants to hear from people who may have suffered property damage as a result of the disruption and has asked Pepco to share details on its claims procedures.

Additional details can be found on Tommy Wells’ blog.
