Where’s the best place to spend a summer evening?  At a rooftop pool, of course!  But I didn’t see many of those in this weekend’s list of open houses.  A lovely, shaded porch comes a close second for me, though; like the one pictured left at 1209 D St, NE.  With 3 bedrooms and a large family room, it also has plenty of places indoors to while away a hot summer day.
