DC Yoga Week Returns May 15

DC Yoga Week is returning for it’s fifth year, kicking off with Yoga on the Mall this Saturday from 1 pm – 5 pm.  Whether you’re a veteran or a newbie, there is something for you during yoga week, including around the Hill.

DC Yoga week strives to: provide opportunities for people living in the DC area to try a yoga class at a reduced cost, especially those who might be new to yoga; create a community of urban yoga studios in the city of Washington DC for future events, activities, and information sharing; and increase awareness about the benefits of yoga and meditation for people living in the DC area, in an attempt to help encourage greater physical health and well-being in our community.

To find your chi around the Hill, Capitol Hill Yoga and Bikram Yoga have both joined other area studios in offering free and $5 classes from May 15-22.  Keep reading for more information about classes and workshops.
