After months of speculation, Dulce’s owner Nyika Humphries has confirmed that Dulce (located at 1123 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, next to Frager’s) will not be reopening.
As many of you will recall, Dulce originally closed some months ago while they waited to iron out the details of their liquor license and voluntary agreement. They originally planned to reopen in January or February, but now due to a dispute with their landlord, Dulce’s doors will remain closed permanently.
There is currently no word on a possible future tenant for the space.
Ms. Humphries also confirmed reports that she and husband Cliff have sold the H Street Martini Lounge. While they are taking a temporary breather, they are still committed to doing business on the Hill, so we can look forward to their next ventures.
