March Madness bracket not doing well? Here’s your chance to take control and make up for it. Is your bracket killing? Use those skilz to put together your own winning team. Registration for Art & Go Seek is open, so grab some friends to form your team and jump into fray. Hosted by the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW), Art & Go Seek is a scavenger hunt and fundraising event for children and adults. This year’s event is Saturday, April 10th from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, but if you register by Monday, March 29th, you’ll get a break on the fee.
Your team of between two and six people will traipse through the neighborhood searching for answers to questions about art, history, and notorious people and places on Capitol Hill. Children are encouraged to participate — there is a special track for families or teams with younger members that has questions geared more towards kids. Keep an eye out for opportunities to earn bonus points and creative arts challenges along the course.
Entry is $25 for adults before March 29th or $35 after, $10 for young adults 13-18, and free for 12 and under. In addition to the scavenger hunt, your entry gets you a light breakfast and the after-pARTy at CHAW with lunch and entertainment. To register, call 202-547-6839 or email victor{at}chaw{dot}org. Proceeds from Art & Go Seek support CHAW’s tuition assistance, outreach and education programs.
This will be my first year participating, so if anybody out there has competed before, pass along your tips below!
