It looks like we’re finally getting a break from these freezing temperatures and cold winds, but who knows for how long. In the meantime, I think I’ve gotten my old house and rickety windows about as winter-proofed as possible, and have grown to love my space heater. And more than anything, I’m enjoying an excuse to hibernate in my house and spend some extra quality time with my dog, couch, and Netflix.

- Frozen Tropics and H Street Great Street also announced a new show at Studio H Gallery.
- JDLand reported that the Trapeze School will be opening in February!
- Famous DC found a “strong endorsement” for lunch at the Capitol Lounge. I’ll admit though, I still haven’t been back since they tried to remodel it to seem more upscale.
- JDLand has been following the liquor license approval process for Justin’s Cafe. She tweeted last night from the ANC meeting that the commission voted to support the license.
