In case you were unable to attend last week’s ANC meetings, here’s a quick recap:

  • ANC 6A – A few highlights: there were discussions about the problems with the vacant property at 1400 Maryland Avenue, NE; Mary Beatty suggested that the commission should consider a moratorium on tavern liquor licenses along the H Street corridor; and the commission voted to allow commissioners to testify in front of the D.C. Public Charter School Board against the proposed location of the AppleTree Institute, a public charter school, which hopes to open at 138 12th Street, NE. The full summary from The Voice of The Hill can be viewed here. (Updated link)
  • ANC 6B – Along with the news that Dulce’s liquor license was approved, parking was a hot topic. Our very own Maria Carey wrote up an extensive summary of the meeting, which can be read here.  The Voice of The Hill’s re-cap can be read here.
  • ANC 6C – Highlights include: the approval for a liquor license for Ethiopic, which is slated to open at 401 H Street, NE; a discussion about the Union Station air rights development project for the 15-acre area directly north of the station; and a presentation on an upcoming development known as 2 M Street NE.  The full summary from The Voice of The Hill can be viewed here.
