BOO!  Happy Halloween Hill folk!  I hope everyone’s ready to get their sugar high on this weekend!  If you don’t have kids, it’s time to borrow some (it’s a good idea to know the parents and ask permission) and hit the streets for some candy and mayhem good clean fun!  And, you get an extra hour to recover from it all!

Luckily, Claudia made my job this week way too easy with her amazing Halloween round-up!  One update to her list, from Congressional Cemetary:

“True tales from the crypts! Macabre and horrific tour of historic Washington DC brought to you by the Dozen Decent Docents of Historic Congressional Cemetery. Saturday, October 31st between 11:00AM and Noon. Tread lightly past the wrought iron gates to the Chapel to hear more about seances at the Lincoln White House, grave robbery, cannibalism, body snatching and more! Step inside the Public Vault, we promise not to lock you in – trust us!” More to do, after the jump…

Also making my job easy this week is Amber, who posted earlier today about the FREE discussion on Adolph Cluss, happening at the Goethe-Institut on Tuesday, November 3.

Other goings on about town this weekend:

Tonight: The Argonaut reopens after briefly being shut down over some tax issues.  They’re celebrating with beer specials:  $8 pitchers of Booty beer and $15 pitchers of everything else!

Also on H St. (and again via our friends at Frozen Tropics), Souk is now open at 1208 H St. NE.

Saturday, October 31

Just a quick hop across the river, and you can be at the 4th Annual Arts Day at THEARC!

Pinball Wizards, hit the Mall and, “learn everything there is to know about pinball machines with collector and historian David Silverman, and test skills on his one-of-a-kind pinball machines.” Saturday, 3 p.m. at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

DON’T FORGET TO FALL BACK! Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend.  WMATA will be operating on its usual schedule.

Monday, November 2

Join Sonoma as they host an Open House from 5 pm – 7 pm to thank the Capitol Hill community for four great years! They’ll be celebrating with complimentary wine and fall menu selections.
