Need to pack some books for the beach? Support the neighborhood library and get an inexpensive page turner at the same time. The Friends of Southeast Library will be having their last booksale for the summer on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The library is located right at Eastern Market Metro plaza, on the corner of 7th and D Streets, SE. As usual, there are a wide variety of books on all sorts of subjects, and most books are a buck.
Donations are always accepted, bring them to the sale if you want, otherwise there’s a bin outside the back door that is available at any time. The next sale will be September 12.
And don’t forget the library has free book downloads and a full schedule of events, ranging from spoken work performances to storytime.
