The Hill is Home

No need to leave the Hill for live music on Fridays. Check out the schedule below for performers at the Marvelous Market Capitol Hill patio every Friday, 5-7 p.m., through October (weather-permitting). On the first Friday of each month, there will be kids entertainment. Adults get lucky on the last weekend of the month; there’s a wine tasting! (Mark your calendar for July 31.) To get your patriotic groove on, Friday night is also the time to catch the US Army band performing on the west steps of the US Capitol. Their concert series, featuring music “from the patriotic to the sublime, contemporary to jazz,” is called Sunsets with a Soundtrack. “Sunset” begins at 8 p.m.
