Capitol Hill Town Square Presentation Available Online

EMPlazaPresWant to see what’s in store for the Eastern Market Metro plaza? The full presentation for the Capitol Hill Town Square designs that was announced last week is now available online at CapitolHillTownSquare.org.  You can read our breakdown of the designs here, but I highly recommend taking a look at the presentation (PDF), which includes traffic statistics, more information on how traffic will flow around each configuration, and lots of drawings and explanations about their overall vision.

What is your favorite design? What do you think should happen to the plaza?

i think I like the triptych design best — but the key factor for me for each of them is ease of pedestrian crossings

  2. Thomas Riehle says:

Which is easier for a pedestrian to cross: Pensylvania Ave at 8th Street SE, or anywhere on Washington Circle?

  3. David says:

I think the Central Park idea would really make for a great new space for the Hill – and does the best at tying Eastern Market to Barracks Row.
